Gulab Jamun

  • Things You Need For Gulab Jamun

  • Dried whole milk 1/2 Kg
  • Egg 1
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Refined flour 3 tbsp
  • Semolina 3 tbsp (sooji)
  • Clarified butter for frying + 2 tbsp


  • For Syrup:

  • Sugar 1/2 Kg
  • Water 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Sterling silver leaves, almonds and pistachios for garnishing


Mix all Gulab jaman ingredients and knead into dough
  • Dried whole milk 1/2 Kg
  • Egg 1
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Refined flour 3 tbsp
  • Semolina 3 tbsp
  • Clarified butter for frying + 2 tbsp


Make into small balls.
Heat clarified butter in wok and fry till golden.

  • Cook syrup ingredients in a pot till it thickens.
  • Sugar 1/2 Kg
  • Water 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Sterling silver leaves, almonds and pistachios for garnishing

Remove from flame, add jamans in the syrup, and leave for ½ hour
When jamans have absorbed the syrub, put them in a dish.

Garnish with silver leaves, almonds and pistachios, and serve.
